Saw this on the Traxxas site... actually really cool. I want a price though... expecting it to be a little pricey though. :-( http://www.traxxas.com/products/acce...o_overview.htm |

A quality camera wont come cheap. With that said, ordering direct from the company is much cheaper. Traxxas offers a bunch of adapters (that may or may not do what you want). http://www.goprocamera.com/ - David |

Or doing a simple google search will save you some good money from the Traxxas price and the Gopro's price. http://pointofviewcameras.com/all-ca...FRwDagodRCfP1A I did a little research on this last week because I almost bought it at a dive shop for $149, from the reviews I read this camera is worth $150 at least. |

agreed, good quality comes at a price, have you seen the hobby-lobby rc camera? $99. footage is $hit. worse than most cell phones.

I've got a decent head-cam that has onboard memory. It's pretty cool, can't remember who makes it though.

Hmmmm, that doesn't look too bad. Definitely cool for the scalers. Could be cool to use on the comp rigs too.

I got he regular one without the wide angle from Santa Claus and it kicks ass. Perfect size and easy to use on almost anything.

I am trying to figure out which one to order from Badgers link... the 170* or the 54*. I lean toward the 54* as I think the 170 is a fish eye lens.

The GoPro Motorsports HERO Wide is the same camera aside from possibly some different mounting brackets (if that even). I ordered one on Friday from amazon and got it shipped overnight for Saturday delivery. Here it is unboxed: On Sunday, I mounted up one of the brackets on the front of my brushless E-Maxx and took it out for a test video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb_bUD74zUc Be sure and click on "Watch in High Quality" Overall, no way in hell would I spend more on the Traxxas version. I paid $184 shipped for this one and IMO, it's well worth it. Note: I tried to embed the video, but for some reason I can't get it to work. Works fine on the RC-Monster forums, strange that it didn't work here in Chit-Chat. |

I've had one for a while and like it a lot. You really have to memorize the functions, as the display is a little sparse for info. I stuck mine on an eMaxx last winter and ran the hell out of it, only to have the camera pop off and go flying- landing in a 3" deep slush puddle. Didn't hurt it at all. Planning to drop it on a parachute from an RC B-17 bomb bay this Spring. Well worth it- heed the warning about only using lithium batteries in it though. |
