| The start of my TTTT Obsession *More Pics*
************************************************* Here's a link to the TTTT gallery on my site with more pictures. http://homepage.mac.com/pigeonfarmbo...ages/TTTT.html ************************************************* Well just getting started with my first models. Found a Unimog today that I'll save for a later build (i read they're hard to cram electronics in) Picked up a couple cheap Humvees. I also just recently ordered 8 other of the Roco models and will post pics when I receive them in the mail. I'm going to start with a MAN 5to 4x4. Should be fun. They're ROCO HO scale 1/87th military models. A bit pricey at $10-30 apiece, but you can find them on eBay and similar items on Tower or any place that sells HO railway supplies. They are fragile as all heck, but very cool and very detailed. I have a ton of them down in my folk's basement somewhere. Even 10-15 years ago, the detail in the molding was incredible. Pigeon, good luck. I looked into Table Top Truck Trials, it's very cool, but I lack the patience and the desire to ruin my vision soldering gears that look like they belong in watches into RC's. I'll keep my smallest scale 1/24th thank you very much |

No I said stuffing the electronics into the MAN 5to is easier than the Unimog. As far as a parts list: radio: 40 MHZ FM transmitter reciver jstmini 33 Euro crystal Qxx 14 Euro speedcontroler ER500 16,80 Euro Servo PICO 44 29 Euro Motor M710 12,50 Euro gear 1:120LKWAntrieb 15 Euro battery 4x NIMH160mah 2.50 Euro each front axle LKW_L 6,90 Euro haven't decided on a rear axle yet but that's about it. I'm also getting into the construction vehicles and have purchased many of those as well. I'll post pics of all this stuff of course. And I don't see how this isn't crawler related either. Trials trucks are basically huge rock crawlers. The rules for competition aren't much different from crawling. |
