Default Best web hosting site I have found

I know many of us are always looking for a good, reliable site to host for us. I know I have had several and they all seem to disappear or have bad support or go offline. This one is the one as far as I am concerned. Hope it helps out some of you, it was refereed to me by a close friend who has been a web builder for about 15 years. The name is 1 and 1 web hosting.

I use bluehost.com. Unlimited space for $7.95/month. I like to be able to use it for some online store too.

What kind of benefit do you get for sending us there with the referral link instead of going directly to www.1and1.com?

Do they give you a discount for referrals?

Why would you think Ben would post this for any reason other then to share his expertise in hosting providers?

I use the same host for the 3 sites I run, over a year and no complaints yet.

Jason - you get paid on what ever package they get using your referal, not for hits.

I've been thinking of reworking mine and relaunching it. I've been hosting people for years. Some clients for almost 10 years now. The only problem is that I hate cpanel but I"ve gotten so many people used to it now it will be impossible to remove it from them.

I used to use 1and1 when I had a website a few years back and was VERY pleased with all the servises they offered. I was having issues with my uFTP uploading and contacted someone through the chat servies and had it squared away in minutes. Never had any issues with downtime and the servers were always really fast. I would reccomend them as well.

I pay $8 a month at Freeservers for my site...but it's not unlimited. I have a boatload of pics...too many for my site so I ended up having to link thumbnails on my site to the albums they coincide with on my Photobucket account...where I pay for the unlimited. I may look into 1 and 1.

Thought it was something like that. Just didn't find info on the site about it.

I had my site through racinewebdesign. The Zomix thing Dennis has is cool. Creating a new page for the site is like creating a new post. I liked it but quit updating the site and killed it.

Dennis is a pretty decent driver and a really nice guy. Lives really near me, helped me out with my TC3 many years ago when I was out of cash. Put my a-arm on his tab. Oh, and another plug for 1 and 1. My church has used them for a few years, longest down time I have seen/heard was perhaps a minute or two.

I tried using 1and1 but I couldn't last more than a month with them. They may of improved their resources, but when I was using them their servers couldn't handle my site. It's not a high traffic/high resource site, but it does use mysql and php scripting. It would take on average 30 seconds longer to open than where I currently have my site running. Again this was about 2 years ago so maybe the updated their shizzle, but I won't shake a feather towards them personally.
