the diffs are plastic. the spider gears on the inside are metal, so is the ball-diff in the other diff. but all the other gears in the truck are plastic (except the motor pinion of course). as for durability, it seems pretty durable i haven't broke anything and dont feel that i will. winches have been put on them before so it can be done. now the things i dont like about it, i want lower gearing than what can be had. the motor can get dirt in it cause its so low(which i like for the center of gravity) and last I dont like the center drive shaft. its so tinny and weak looking (although i dont see me or anyone else having a problem with it.) other than that its a great little truck , its a blast to drive. hope that helps some |

I have a hummer and they are very cool and i dought they'd be too fragile unless you run 2.2 tires on em or insane power.

I have a f-150 (same truck) with 2.2's and a lathe and it holds up to everything.
