| Need Machinist for a small task
Im looking for a machinist to make me a couple of the washer looking things in the picture.......... very simple but I just dont have the tools to pull this off, I would like to have them made out of some kind of metal but might consider even delrin... I will provide the only original I have for measurements Jason your local admin will be providing lap dances in exchange for services rendered.. I need these soon but not right away. Thanks Mike |

It looks like a pretty simple part, but the cutout through the center looks broached. It's almost impossible to cut the corners square, like they are in the pic, on a mill. It could be machined out with radiuses in the corners, then you would have to file the radiuses out to a square corner. How big is the outer diameter on the piece you need made?

Just 4 U I don’t know crapola about machining but couldnt you possibly find a piece of stock the same shape then just drill 2 holes in the middle on either side then just run it back and forth then just cut the bottom? |

It's a little smaller then I expected, I could drill pilot holes then go in with an endmill and mill it out. How thick is it? Do you have any idea what material it is? It'd be easy to make out of Delrin. What goes through that center hole, drive pin of some sort?

those are punched not machined. Bender is talking about where the radius meets the straight part |

well it's about half a milimeter bigger then a penny just a tad bigger well this is the part that conects the wheel axle to the wheel hub on a Hilux, as long as it's exact same measurement there should be no play... hope that helps and yea these parts are old probably mid 80's early 90's :? |

Just drilling holes and then machining across. Would make it look like this.

Out of curiousity, what is the entire piece? And I swear I have some washers, thinner yet cut about like that, sitting around the shop..........I will have to take a look. Does it need to be a single piece? edit: you answered my first question above |
