Default BFG mud terrain KM2?

I need some new tires for my 1:1 and have been eying the bfg km2s...

I have owned several set s of mud terrains but never the km2s.

These will be going on our family XJ trail rig in size 35 x 12.5 x 17, does anyone have any experiance with them?

I run the 33x12.5's on my XJ. They are decently quiet on the highway and smooth with 8oz of airsoft pellets in each. I like them on the rocks, no real test in true mud yet.

I've got some on order in the flavor of 33x10.5x15. I've been told that the higher load rating makes them a rougher ride than the origional KM's, and that they are an alright all round tire. Street is a tad louder - rocks are great - mud is OK (km's were better though) - IDK about sand.

That is what I hear anyway.

if you can afford it i would go with the toyo mt's last at least 60,000 miles as long as you rotate them every 3-5000 miles. im putting them on my chevy cuz there a 10ply and i need that since i tow and have 8,000lb. truck.
a lot of the people i've talked to about the km2's like'em but they say they dont last even rotating, and they tend to take a lot of weight to get'em blanced.

but that my opinion and observations.

just put m2 flatirons on there

I just about pulled the trigger on the KM2's 33x12.5 15's for my Grand. I ended up going for the cooper sxt's cause of availablity. A guy i wheel with has the same tire on his rig and they seem to work very well. About the same noise level on concrete mine may be a little quieter. If i were you i would go for it.

Let me know how they work out, bouncing between these and the toyo's myself...

These tires are 100% better than the old KM's. The sidewalls a greatly impoved and I've yet to hear of a puncture here in AZ. When I up the tire size on my TJ I'm going to be running them.

I've got the toyos too. I like the look of them better. they 'appear' to be a wider tire (both are the same size by the numbers) but they are both about the same in ride comfort and really haven't noticed a huge difference in offroad performance, but i haven't been off much with the BFGs

heres me playing with my 2 trucks.

Yep, I used medium grade .2g BB's. Works well.

The most "mud" mine have seen.

Easiest way for self balancing tires. It's a funny noise when you come to a stop at a light. My friend did the same thing when he was running cheap steel wheels and 37's so he could drive it on the road.

Is that one of Steffan's XJ's? Scalest one I've seen yet.

Make sure and get pics of any sweet jumps you might take it off of!

i just switched over to KM2s about a month ago due to a great deal i got on them... they seemed a lil more narrow than my old Cooper STTs but these things have been great in the rocky desert terrain that i wheel in...

onroad, my only issue so far has been in wet conditions, but it hasn't been bad... they are pretty quiet on hwy too, and were easy to get balanced...

I'm still upset that BF Goodrich stopped making the 35-12.50R16.5's!!! Now I have to buy wheels for two different trucks!

I run this in my SX's....
At $5 a bag.. You can't go wrong. They balance out well...

But a Shop still should be able to balance them out. Without tons of weight.
