| Weird Pets
Was wondering if anyone had any "weird" pets? I have the normal cat and dog but about a month ago I ordered a Spanish Black Turkey from a hatchery. I have raised "Harry" since he was one day old and he will follow you around like a dog. I recently got 5 more Bronze Breasted Turkeys yesterday. These things are awesome. I like to be different and didnt know anyone around here with turkeys so now I have some Heres Harry when I first got him followed by him now with the other turkeys: |

Are you going to eat it? (Not the tarantula.) I had a savannah monitor a while back. |

I sold my 175 gal. bowfront with 25 Ciclids all different kinds, now I have a smaller tank and more Ciclids.... And our new pet Nala, she is a Sugar glider. I never even heard of it till a couple months ago. Pretty cool little critter though, gets a little hyper once she finally wakes up (around 10 PM!) Pic... |

Our club has a weird pet. This guy showed up at our last comp. Apparently you shouldn't feed him after midnight or get him wet. |

When I was a kid, we had a hundred gallon tank with a fresh water whale and a dwarf dolphin. My dad liked all these weird, expensive fish. I want to say that these two alone were over a grand each, and this was in the late 70's.

Back when I was 12 my older brother and I bought had a pair of rats. They where awesome up until they breed and we ended up with almost 30 rats. It really sucks to be called back from school because you rats have escaped and need catching. |

Timneh African Grey Parrot, Blue Crested Conure, Mexican Red-Knee Tarantula, Ball Python, Bearded Dragon, and Whites Tree Frog. The African Grey parrot is mean as shit, the conure is cool, and the bearded dragon is probably the most social and gentle of the group. |

I've had a few "exotic" pets, probably the weirdest being a pacman frog - I used to feed it mice. I had a piranha, too - who also ate mice. But the weirdest fish I've ever owned was an elephant-nose fish. My sister has had all sorts of snakes and lizards, and lot's of birds, too. Currently I have two of her birds - Double-Yellow and Red-Headed Amazon parrots. |

We have a Greyhound and two cats, but I've always wanted a few Guinea Fowl... http://pinker.wjh.harvard.edu/photos...nea%20Fowl.jpg ...they eat ticks and insects like there's no tomorrow and they can be extremely territorial and protective. A few years ago we were at a small recording studio, and the engineer had 2 that "came with the property" We watched the neighbors 120 pound Shepherd approach the driveway from about 300 feet away...and so did the Guinea hens... No sooner did that dog set one paw in the driveway, the Guinea hens darted down the driveway at the Shepherd, and he bolted like a crack addict in a drug raid. Funniest damn thing I've ever seen and I've wanted some ever since. |
