Default 54s

After working at the bike shop yesterday I headed home and then up to my step dads FD where him and his buddies were working on the Mash. They were changing out the bump stops and installing the brand new 54" MT baja claws My stepfather and his Brian are the 1st 2 in the world to have purchase them (http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/p...page.php?id=98) . When I got there, they were just basically starting so I jumped in to help them get the new bump stops in so we could get the new meets on. It took a while to get all 4 shocks fitted with the new bump stops and correct amount of nitrogen (hard to jack up a truck that is already so huge) but the end result was well worth it. I think it looks like a hot wheels or something now. My stepdad's friend Sal wants to machine a wind up dial for it

My stepdad's friend Sal machined the bump stops for us. The truck before had 49" Irocs on it. It was set up so that is there is a shock failure you can still steer the truck and not have the tires catch the flares/fenders, that it why we needed the new bump stops.

I havent gone in it yet, but my stepdad said the claws ride sooooo nice in comparison to the Irocs. We need to lengthen the drive shaft about 1.5-2.0" and we may drop the TC down a bit to relieve some of the angle but even at 55 last night he said it wasnt vibrating which is good.

Thanks for looking
-Mike

Looks like you need to put a set of 2.5 running gear under it and redo the links so the tires are in the wheel wells. Whats it got for a motor?

You should ask your mom if he's trying to (over)compensate for something.

Yup, gotta agree with you on the 2.5's
I'm guessing the 1.5-2" longer driveshafts will allow for the wb correction:?

Anytime you post a lifted truck the haters come out in full blown fashion. Its the same people complaining about the worlds who did not even go. A truck does not have to fit into anyone elses mold. While I am not so sold on the paint, the build looks good.
