I love planes, particularly Military aircraft. With all the interest I've seen in firearms, military and the like on RCC, I'm guessing there are a few other plane junkies here as well...so watcha' like? My top ten... Grumman A6 Intruder McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom II Fairchild Republic A10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) Hawker Harrier General Dynamics F111 Avro Vulcan Lockheed P-38 Lightning Grumman F6F Hellcat Bell P-63 King Cobra Bell AH-1 Cobra Sikorsky CH-54 Tarhe "Skycrane" |

| F/A-18 Hornet (mostly because I used to work on them ), but I like flying the Corsair and Mustang online against friends (I guess I should say enemies). Anyone fly IL-2 ? It's a kick. |

Without a doubt the A10 is my fav. plane. Its simple, tough, and packs a metric butt-ton of woop-ass; all for right around a million a plane. It is hard to believe that the military was going to get rid of it just before the first Gulf War because it was not high-tech enough. Second would have to be the F-14, it just looks cool. Plus, it is amazing that a plane that big can out manuever smaller aircraft. Third is the B-17, the German pilots said attacking one was like making love to a porcupine. Forth is the SR-71, 'nuff said. Last, the Mig 29, that plane has no problems going toe-to-toe with any fighter in production. |
