I think that was a wheely car anyway...notice all the stickers on the underside?

Otherwise, I always hated watching Chevettes and Pintos run. Their wheelbase is just way too short and squirrely. Seen too many of them go into the guardrail...

I think that car was intended to do that. I was watching "on the edge" and a car did that and won the competition.

I saw that too - it was Brain Ambrosini's Gremlin.

But the Gremlin had a rear bumper - it dosen't look like that Chevette did.

IIRC, that happened at the Byron Dragway in Illinois. The track owner has a bunch of different gimmick events like the wheelie contest.

The rounded body did not help him on the rollover. Would that be a 5 point rollover, a touch penalty or can that be winched over.

Probably a touch...the real question is whether or not he can do an on course repair...
