| Need Some Help(Computer monitoring)
If this violates any Board Rule... Mods feel free to delete. I don't trust some people that use my comp on a regular basis when I'm at work and I need some help from all you fellow crawlers and Parents. What I need is a Monitoring Program that logs everything (key logger). I would also like for it to log everything including myspace/facebook chats, IMs(incoming and out), and e-mail. Screen shots would be a plus. Thanks for any help that you can send my way. PS- I'm not trying to break any rules here, just trying to find out what's going on while I'm at work:-( :-( :? :? Do a search for "Key Logger". There are various programs out there, some are free. A friend of mine caught his wife cheating on him that way |

There is one out there called Ardamax Keylogger I think. I downloaded it once trying to figure out how it worked. A friend of mine suspected that her ex who was a computer guru had installed a keylogger on her system, so I tried to reverse engineer the process to see if I could find it on there. Turns out she had been nailed by one... Keyloggers are extremely dangerous if used in inappropriate ways!! Edit.. Found it: http://download.cnet.com/Ardamax-Key...html?tag=mncol |

I both use and find Keyloggers... You need to be sure the one you install will not set off any AV alarms. I have a friend install one to try to catch his wife, sadly the AV program found it and foiled his plans. This is what we used for a short time on a outside salesmans PC to recover his ebay time (seriously dude was on ebay 18 hours a day): http://www.personal-inspector.com/ |

| Unless the person is smart enough to delete it, which isn't hard to do. My work wouldn't find any history on me, because I use Safari...they would never think to check that. Might be why I'm the IT guy, not them. Also it might tell you where they went but not what they did. A kid going to myspace seems innocent, but chatting/emailing with some pedophile would not be innocent would it? Keyloggers are a great tool...especially with IM, email, chats that the history will never store. |

Yup, and you can catch passwords with a keylogger.

I'm gonna check out the ones linked above. Would be great if I can find one that catches both sides of the IM conversations in myspace/facebook and such. The screenshots might be enough but I'll have to wait and see... unless someone knows of a free one that for sure. Thanks again guys |

One of the links above seemed to work ok but, only gets one side of the conversation. Now I need to find something that will do screenshots so I can get the rest. |
