| Gatekeeper ?
Is there such a thing as a gatekeeper on this site ? I dont mean gatekeeper as in rockcrawling gates or username gatekeeper either. On some of the other forums I have been on there is a gatekeeper who is entrusted to gather other users home addresses ( only if the users participate) and if another member wants to do a RAOK all they have to do is contact said gatekeeper for the details. I ask because I see at times people looking for something that I know I have and will never use and would rather give it away then have it cluttering my desk. I don't sell anything I would just rather give it to a like minded hobbyist and in return they do the same thing for someone else ...... "Pay it forward" I guess you could say. So is there anything like this on here or is it a stupid idea ? |

Ask people that have done buisness with the person you are looking for info on. Do a search the feedback area for said person in the title, and contact the people that left that feedback. That might help get ya somewhere. |

Actually I have noticed through some threads, that there are some people that step up to help other members, especially when it is about small parts or when there is someone in need. I thought about suggesting the creation of a group of people that voluntarily help others but who of you would even pay attention to the new guy from a country most don't even know exists. |

I have yet to see a question on here that wasn't answered. As far as giving stuff away for free....that's tough! This is a expensive hobby! BD is one of the most generous guys I have ever met! And yes he does a lot to help people out in any way he can. People on here do not need as much help as you think. They need to use the search button! You know the old phrase "The only dumb question is a question not asked"? That works when you 5 years old! Not so much on here! But I put my work in on here answering question everyday. Helping guys out. Finding parts. Giving advise when needed. This site works great I think your heart is in the right place on this one, I do. But I don't think this group is needed. Guys just need to research before asking question all the time. They will find the answer on here if they look

| LOL Kenny, yea that sort of counts Im not looking for a group of people to give generously, just from time to time I feel the need to help a brother out and sometimes want to do it as a suprise , and thats where the gatekeeper would play a role. Quote:

| Thanks CC, I will PM him tommorow and see if he has the info I need Quote:
Im not asking anything in return either I dont even care if the recipient dos'nt even acknowledge where the parts came from, knowing that I helped someone out of a jam is good enough for me.
