I may be a total n00b who has been out of the R/C truck game for quite a while but being a *huge* Land Cruiser fan (and owner) I screamed the roof off of my house when I learned that Proline had discontinued the fj40 body. If I have to order it from England I bloody well will. (If the wife lets me of course...)

I just paid 45 bucks shipping for that bastard defender 90 from the UK. That thing better build itself for that kind of scratch. I've had many things shipped from the Uk and its never been a pleasent thing to do. It also takes like 3 weeks. I guess we shall see.

That little L behind the 19 means British Pounds. a Pound is about $1.80. Not so cheap, about $34.20, depending on the exchange rate. Not outrageous, but not cheap. And shipping from the UK is way expensive. You really gotta want one. the symbol for euros is like a rounded E with an extra crossbar. Last edited by microgoat; 12-15-2005 at 04:55 AM. |

Argh! Maybe I'll call my buddy in Manchester to head on over there and break their legs for getting my hopes up like that. Grr... Oh well, not like I can't scour the Buy/Sell forum or Ebay when the time comes. I'm not even close to building the trail rig I want, like I said, I'm just returning to the hobby after many years so I'm making due with my daughter's Stampede and the EMAXX basher I'm getting for Xmas. The TLT-1 will have to wait until my B-Day anyway. Oh, and yes the wife is mostly in charge of the money... because she's the one who earns it. I'm a SAHD and wannabe writer. |
