| Never been a fan of Slipknot
But I happened to see a commercial for the album "All hope is gone", I really liked the song playing. I was shocked when I saw who it was. The song is called "Snuff". Had to go download it from Itunes. I never knew they actually made music you could understand. Most of what I have heard was a bunch of garbled grunting and yelling that was incomprehnsible. No offense intended to any fans. It just surprised me.

I've never liked Slipknot for one reason. They have been coping Mushroom Head from day one. I got to tattoo all the guys in Mushroom Head about 8 years ago. Johnny Nothing the lead singer showed me all the stuff that Slipknot had copied from them over the years and I was blown away! Johnny is tattooing now as well as still lead singer for MH! Slipknot is the shiite. MH is okay but if Slipknot is copying from them then they are also taking it to the next level. |

i used to like slipknot, but the new stuff seems like a radio sellout to me, kinda like metallica did years ago.

i used to love slipknot. now their shit just seems flat to me. id almost go as far as to say i think its gone kinda gay. Like tool, or korn, or metalica. it just dont reach to the same depths in my soul man. might as well be nickleback when corey taylor comes on the radio to whine for a little while | |

I like a few of their songs, but I don't like them as a band.

Their music can be good, but as stated there are many similarities between them and MH. Then theres Mudvayne. I say get rid of the costume crap, and just play the music. More time spent on music, and less on appearance makes for a better band. That comes out of the mouths of a lot of 80's bands. They say they spent too much time on their hair and clothes, and could have gone farther or longer if they had just worried about the music.
