it finally threw a code on the way to autozone. They threw the ob2 scanner on it and sure enough "cylinder #8 missfire" Of course thats the cylinder thats at the back under the fuel rail. Some how I was able to change it out in about 15min... took me 45 mins to change the plug on that cylinder before (most of it getting that stupid hold down screw back in). When I pulled the coil pack it broke right where the plug connects to the coil. Truck is running smoother than it ever has. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction... just really odd it would do this right after changing the thermo. |

Dad suggested that you may want to double check the gaps on your plugs too Jeff.
