Default Lose vs Loose

The term for not winning is to lose, not loose. Loose is the opposite of tight.

This also relates to losing vs loosing, and the act of being a loser vs a looser.

It's really not that hard of a concept, and there is actually more work involved in getting it wrong.

What if I were to say "I have a lot of rocks" ?

How do you know if I mean to say that I have many rocks or I have a lot that is full of rocks?

One thing that makes me crazy is when somebody is trying to argue on the Internet and they cannot spell past a 4th grade level. Myself having made it to the seventh grade, I speaks berry well. At least I run a spell check before most posts. It might not fix the grammatical errors, but I hope it helps.

On a side note, my spell check caught 3 mistakes in this post.

Using a "Z" in place of an "S" drives me nuts.

If you indeed had a lot, full of rocks, you would say it like I just did.

If you just have a lot of rocks youre a loser, without a lot, but rocks.

And apostrophes rarely get used in my posts. Correct spelling usually gets the point across & Im lazy...

I can deal with missed or forgotten apostrophies, its the missing commas and periods that get my panties in a bunch. And no, not those missed periods...I mean the gramattical kind.

Speak for yourself. The periods that are only used once a month are the only ones I care to see...rather, hear about.
