won't let me register

I have tried to register twice now. I get me confirmation e-mail and when I select the link it says my user info is not in the database. Anybody know whats up? I have been trying to register under user name derbinator.

If you wait too long after getting the confirmation it will drop you from the database. At least I think so, that seems to be what happens with most sites. Are you responding to the comfirmation within a few hours? I think if you wait a day it will drop you.
I dont know if this is the problem but just the first thing I thought of.

I tried as soon as it showed then I tried a few hours later and still nothing. I then waited for about a day and a half so it would drop my original registration and tried again. I think I may try a different user name?

Just tried a different user name but it recognized my e-mail addy. I then clicked on forgot my password, and it says its emailed it to me but I'm not getting it.

What email are you using?

Some mail services royally screw up automated messages like those on board registration...the mail servers see it as spam and auto-delete the mail.

He's right, I now use Yahoo free email (very good), but I used to have Hotmail (crap). I routinely had junk dissappear, or get lost along the way with Hotmail, but Yahoo is instant and very reliable......Hotmail would crash all the time on me. I have since moved all but a handful of things over to my Yahoo account, but hold onto them both just in case.....

finally got registered. The problem was I was using my home email and trying to register from my work computer. Anyhow I'm glad to be here. I happened upon this site and the trucks here are awesome. So now I've started building my own e-maxx crawler. Talk about addicting.
