An axial action figure with functional get away car? I would really love a 3speed tranny with dig.. That would make my 7t puller happy to spread it's wings through three gears... Last edited by 311WJ; 04-14-2010 at 02:27 PM. |

| Umm, Not a hint at all, unless you are releasing a remastered copy of record producer Barry Gordy's failed attempt at a Black Exploitation film called The Last Dragon featuring characters "Bruce Leroy" and "The Shogun of Harlem". Bruce Leroy's parents own a pizza shop and the local tough guy wrecks the place when Leroy refuses to fight him. The cameo by El DeBarge performing their big hit In The Beat Of the Rhythm of the Night is one of my favorite parts, including the falsetto bridge really showing off the lead singers range. The great idea was to push the popularity of the star record producers bands, as well as collect royalties from a movie. Bruce Leroy is mesmerized by Bruce Lee films and chews popcorn with his mouth open while at the theater watching the original Last Dragon. Why am I writing all this? Because anything is more exciting than waiting this long for some countdown that everyone already knows is going to be a release od an MOA. Whoopie. |

In all seriousness, I think Axial really needs to re-evaluate their entire marketing/avertising strategy. My girlfriend is a senior level professional copywriter and we've actually talked about Axial and the campaigns they've used over the last year or so. Their ads are poorly done as they are way overcrowded with text and images so their message ends up being lost. Their website is pretty much the same. Clutter doesn't sell and websites needs to be clear and easy to navigate....and a good search feature helps. This campaign trying to stir up interest is failing, too. Some say that even an annoying ad is successful because it makes people take notice. That's true until it gets annoying enough for people to make a concerted effort to avoid that product or brand as a result of that ad. It's the reason I don't eat Subway after that annoying "$5 foot long" campaign. Lastly, it appears that Axial doesn't have a real advertising division and that maybe it's run by a relative of the owner or someone who is maybe not as qualified as they should be. Case in point when they asked for members here to provide slogans for the then-new SCX10 TR. They choose very poorly and the top slogans were quite lackluster. There were many better ones in the list of contenders that didn't just rip off Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles". No offense to the winners! Anyway, it's a shame that due to the bad decisions of someone at Axial, the excellent hard work of their engineering and R&D teams may fall on deaf ears. They make fantastic products, but they really need to do something about their marketing and advertising. And I hope they do. I like their products and would like to see them continue to be successful. |
