Default vanquish rep?

Is there a Vanquish products representative on the forum? I need help understanding what the correct offset I need to order for wheels. Looks like there is 3 options but I don't know which is correct for a Axial RTR based truck. Thanks in advance.

Yeah Tom@VP, but there a lot of knowledgeable people that are pretty familiar with Vanquish products.

I believe on the VP website it tells you how wide each offset will make your rig...
So which wheel?
Do you want to set up exactly the way it is now or go wider or narrower?

All of the track width dimensions per hub are posted on their site within the info for each wheel design as well as with the hexes themselves.

They're listed for Axial and Berg/WK:

DH's for example:

Product Description
•Price is for two wheels, hub spacers are still needed.
•Wheel is made of billet Aluminum 6061 and is 2.2 Diameter x 1.2 wide with 12mm hex.
•Weight holes moved to the outside face of the wheel to improve effectiveness of the weights.
•Weight slugs are now removable from outside of wheel.
•Each wheel weighs 6.28 oz, with 6 weights it weighs 12.44 oz
•Wheel has removable hex hubs that can be replaced with different offsets.
•Adjustable offset center hub, increases offset in 1/8 per side in 1/8 inch increments.
•Currently 4 offsets are being built for 14.99 for two.
•Track width for a Berg/OCM axle 335=10.00, 460=10.25, 585=10.50
Track width for a Axial axle 335=9.25, 460=9.50, 585=9.75
•One wheel without weights is 6.28 oz.
•One wheel with 6 weights is 12.44 oz.
•Weights are not included.
•This set includes the following,
•2 wheels
•4 bead locks
•24ea 6-32 x 5/16 button head cap screws
•12 ea. 4-40 x 1/2 socket head cap screws for hex hubs
•12ea. 4-40 x 1/4 button head cap screws for the weights
•custom packaging with cut out foam wheel protector.
•wheels are now vented as standard.
•*** Weights are not included ****
•Patent Pending
•Made in the USA

Hexes:

Product Description
Measuring from the outside from beadlock to beadlock, the following spacers will acheive certain trackwidths when bolted to the DH ProComop Wheel. Measurements are in inches. these are sold in sets ( 2pcs.)

335= Axial 9.25,Berg 10.00
460= Axial 9.50,Berg 10.25
585= Axial 9.75 Berg 10.50
335RF = Rockforce 10.00, removes stock 12mm wheel hex.

Add the crown over dimension of your tire to that to get a close estimate of actual overall track.

ok so what I initially thought was correct, it doesn't matter just pick which ever one I would like to have. Wider is always better right? I will have to search for some rules for competition, I want to eventually try a competition when ever they do one in my area. Sorry if that was rather elementary but the more I read the more complicated I tried to make it....lol

I'm still in debate mode, I really like these wheels for tune-ability but the ATi Turbines look so wicked and they are cheaper, but I don't want all show and no go...

thank you for replying.

Wider is not always better. Most drivers will run a narrower rear wheel to help with clearing gates.

A wider stance will help in off camber situations and side hilling to an extent, but you don't want to go too far out.

On an Axial, I'd probably run the 585's up front and either the 335's or 460's in the rear. Don't forget your adding roughly 1/4" inch in tire to your overall track so figure that in as well.

Some like it wide some like it narrow, you may want to check out the rigs guys local to you run and try to make it out to an event.
Me personally I run my rig just over 11" in the front and 10.5+" in the back.
But here in colorado widths are all over the place.

As for rules USRCCA states no more then a 12.5" wheel base and no wider then 12.5" outside to outside, but I would not go over 11.25 wide at the widest.
Check out the rules they are pretty simple when it comes down to it.

Right on...there's tons of valuable information available from just watching and chatting with other drivers about set up; see what works well on a course and what doesn't.

I run Eritex Comp Heavies on my Axail. Axial offset up front and Berg in the rear which gives me a front track of 10 1/4" tire to tire outer edge, and a rear track of 10"

I find this to be a stable set up for me and my driving style.

You also need to consider wheel weight when you're dialing in a wheel and tire set up

You guys are awesome, thank you. I was just reading the rules as well. And as far as other rigs in my area, well to be honest I'm just starting and haven't seen any, I missed a competition last Saturday and don't see any others posted in the near future, but I'm sure there will be. I think I will do 585 and 335 as suggested by CreepyCrawl(thanks). Again thanks so much for putting up with such elementary questions, with so much info out there it's very easy to get confused as a freshman crawler....

Hope all the info presented here helps you get a solid set up, and keep researching even after you get your wheels...sometimes little tweaks can make a big difference.

Enjoy!

I have both the VP and ATI turbine wheels. Both are great but you have to weigh the extra cost for the adjustability (VP) vs. being stuck with what the ATI's sit at. You can't beat the quality of VP wheels though.

I took the plunge splurged and ordered the Vanquish Procomp...I am very excited. I am gonna make my on cartridge slugs, I'll just measure the hole when I get them and see what caliber is closest to it. My father reloads his own ammo so he will surely have something close.
