Default Buddies ratrod project

Built up 350 Chevy, 400 trans. Used mostly for hauling his bike to Sturgis, but he's had it out to the salt flats too. A fun rig, turns a lot of heads.

Default Nice Looking Rig

That's a mean looking rig, and I love it! I wouldn't mine getting and old 55" Chevy flatbed truck to transport some cool rides around. Can't go wrong with a Chevy!

Thats a sick rig for sure What does he have in it that he needs 2 shoots in the rear? That would be a lot of truck moving if it were at any kind of speed I get that! Any inside picts, cab, motor ect....?

A rollback would look cooler IMO, not sure about the wing on the back...
it might look better on the cab-maybe... Cool Rig though, I'd beat on it

Reminds me of a Jet truck I saw once....

As a RATROD that is exactly what they are, random, custom and orginal. Great way to throw a bunch of ideas into one solid rig and do the function you need it to do... diggin it.

It's just a built 350, but it will smoke all 8 back tires with no problem. I think he had to have the shoots for the Salt flats runs.
The inside isn't finished just yet, but I'll snap some pic's next time I get over there.

It's not a ratrod because it's flat Black. It's a ratrod because it's bits and pieces thrown together.

I guess I'm not really sure what the true definition of a rat rod is?

It's a 1947 Diamond T with a 79 Peterbuilt sleeper, on a stretched school bus chassis.

way too clean and straight to be considered a rat rod in my mind.

i would consider this some sort of hot rod. love the cab overs but the rest is ugly as can be in my eyes. but good for him on building something he likes

thats how i felt. too much chrome, billet, and just a "finished" look to it, every thing looks professionall and cleanly done with apperance in mind.
i think custom or hot rod would be a better definition. of course all this is just my opinion.
