| Be prepared
ok so yesterday i went out to a fun little creek bed with the crawlers to practice for the comp next weekend, of course i felt the need to drive the jeep up through it also, well after playing at one spot fo a while i proceeded to decide to drive farther up. not really paying attention i tryed to go around this huge rock and got stuck, now the moral of the story, i left my hi-lift handle at home and my bottle jack was under a friends alfa. to there i am in the middle of no where with no real useable jack stuck, so i hiked out a little ways, found some old guy who gave me a ride to the edge of town where i hiked to a taco bell and waited for a buddy to come pick me up so i could go get my jack handle. so either go prepared to offroad or leave the 1:1 on the dirt road. looks inocent enough... |

Looks like fun! Last friday I got stuck REALLY bad, it took an 8000# warn and a 12000#warn with both rigs in reverse to get it out

the moral of the story is to drive over rocks, not around them.

Moral number two: Don't put Grand Cherokee wheels on a TJ because they look retarded. |

Moral number two is more like a theme to life.

Why's that? Can't drive? Saw a similar scenario play out here in town. Dude is driving a tow truck, a big-azz floor jack falls off the back. The woman behind him (and in front of me) in some sort of Honda/Toyota/Kia...decides that, instead of driving around the jack, she'd just straddle it. Was quite entertaining. | |

Somehow I think you'd have put a tire on the rock instead of trying to straddle it.
