And people dont believe in God! He was beyond lucky! WOW! I wonder if the driver was charged at all? I still dont know how he didnt see him as he was coming up to the intersection? If the kid was in the middle of the road he should have seen him before he got there?

he was stuck at an intersection, plus that was a long nosed truck, not a cabover. as soon as he got in front of the truck he could not see the guy in the wheelchair. when the light turned green he would not have seen him at all. considering engine noise he probably would not have heard anything either.not to mention that the truck is a mobile home and office, so who knows what the truck driver was doing in the cab of the at the light.

So instead of curing this guys condition and calling that a miracle, God nailed the poor guys chair to the front of a truck, scaring the shit out of not only him but anyone within view. Not to mention that this situation didn't have to happen at all. Thats a miracle? I'm sorely dissapointed.

I know what you're saying, what I'm saying is it could have been avoided all together.

But really that is a topic for another thread....

Yes it is a long nosed truck. BUT, it wasn't a 379 peterbilt a flat hood that you REALLY can't see anything in front of you (family business own's 5 379's.) but it was a Volvo 630. The hood is "slanted" which allows you to see most everything but it restricts your view just about 2-3 feet (Also owns 5 volvo's.) but the guy is about eh 4-4.5ft sticking up off the ground which would have made him "visible" in those 2-3 feet. There for the driver should atleast lose his job.
1. For not paying attention at the intersection.
2. More than likely people were trying to get him to stop. Not paying attention x2.

i am 5'9, and try to walk to many places myself. at many cross walks i have trouble seeing over those hoods, when the trucks are stopped, this person is a good 2 feet lower than me, which means he probably would not be able to see the driver, which means the driver will not see him. not to mention other variables such as glare, and location of the sun. i understand that the driver is responsible for ANY accidents, but honestly who knows the situation, and why it happened.

If your 5'9 and you can't see over the hood you must be looking right at face to grill a 379 peterbilt or a w900 kenworth. Because on most "newer" trucks there all made for fuel efficency. Which would mean the hood is slanted. All the volvo's we own are 670's. Just a newer model than the 630, and the sleeper is the only difference. The 670's have a 67 inch sleeper where the 630 is only 63 inches. i can see just fine over the hood when i walk right infront of them and im only 5'5. If it were my truck the guy would be feeling my boot in his ass while he's walking out the door.
