|  Crazy fast autocrossing rotary turbo Bugeye Sprite Jeff Kiesel EM KFR Turbo Sprite at El Toro 3/1/09. 1958 Bugeye Sprite built for solo2 E Modified class. The motor is a turbo charged 13brew rotary motor putting out 370 hp to the wheels. The car weighs 1810 pounds with driver. This car has won 7 national championships (2009,2008,2007,2002,2001,1997) and 3 pro solo championships (2009,2008,2007). At this event it was Top PAX by over 1.3 sec out of over 240 entered. 74.4 sec run, also FTD even over the F125 shifter Karts.  Wicked. |

Don't know, but he might have bought it from someone and changed something... looks like he was in BP before EM in a RX7.  |

That is a sick bugeye! Did I see correct that he never left 2nd gear once he made the 1-2 shift? Gotta love rotarys  That RX-7 is sweet, I miss my FD3. |

Yep never left second gear and he says somewhere it'll run to 79 mph in second. And he says he's hit the limiter twice on course! Nuts! Thing probably spins to 9500 rpm. In my Honda my second gear fuel cuts around 63 mph, partly due to 20 inch tall tires. |
