Default NSFW??? Electricity should never be underestimated

I work in signs and ive been locked onto 277 before and let me tell you it doesn't feel good at all. But that is nothing to what happens to this guy.

Don't watch the video if you don't want to see the outcome of someone being shocked very badly. Pretty disturbing.

I'm gonna go against the flow of modern ethics and refuse to watch a stranger's death.

That's a good example of what not to do when near high voltage electrical lines.

As far as I am concerned that guy got exactly what he wanted. An all expenses paid first class ticket directly to Allah. Do not pass go or collect $200.

Ummm.....Ted.... sorry to be the one to tell you, but in India most folks are Hindu. They hate Muslims.

But yea, he got what he wanted, an all expenses paid first class ticket directly to that God with the nine arms...or whatever....???

If he passed Go and collected $200 it burnt up while his pants were on fire.

It's not bad at all. Dude is a good distance from the camera and touched the power line. Two quick zaps and he falls on top of the car.

I was expecting to see the result of a prolonged shock where there wasn't enough to knock the person free, but keep them latched on by your description.

I've been hit several times over the years while working on various communications facilities in the military. It didn't take but one time to learn not to trust the operator when you're in the power bay to their van and ask them if the outside breaker is off.

There's an aluminum smelter? here in the state, and when we did the OSHA training the teacher was recounting the story of an employee that was cleaning the contacts above the Machine... (Im not in the biz so I don't know the terminology) There a Huge Arc heated kettle, and they were supposed to be off, and apparently the person coming up on the next shift turned them on, the voltage was so intense that it literally blew his hands and forearms off. He survived but his arms had to be amputated at the shoulders and permanent nerve damage. The Teacher said that because the voltage and amperage was so high it actually saved his life because when his hands exploded basically it broke the ground

In high school knew a guy who was a grade above me. In town his folks owned a little store and he was out doing something to the sign and was zapped and killed by it.

I wonder if anyone called him a "hottie" after his accident?

OR -All the girls think he's a "smokin' hottie" now.

Remember the old show "Night Court"?

Bull got hit by lightning then comes into the judge's chambers with smoke coming off him and says "Mind if I smoke?"

Funniest scene in that show.

That is a prime example of why you lockout/tagout any machinery you are performing any type of maintenance on.
