Getting a direct hit here Saturday, Probably still going to be a weak category 2 or strong category 1. We've had them before, I'm not freaking out like everybody else around here is, I doubt it's going to do as much damage as people are thinking here.

It'll be over top of Moncton at 3pm on Saturday, winds are supposed to be like 110km/h or so, and we're supposed to get around 90mm of rain. It should be fun.

The waters below Nova Scotia are still 21 or 22 degrees, the water in the Bay of Fundy is around 16 degrees, that should drain the life out of it quite a bit.

The waters in the gulf are typically ~30*C (85*F).....that is quite a large difference.

Most of this hurricane's drama was initiated by the media to drum up veiwers.

Definitely, on the "local" news (local as in Halifax, Nova Scotia) they've been going on about how bad it's going to be, and how it's going to be like Hurricane Juan which hit them 7 years ago that they still bitch about to this day.

Man, this "hurricane" was fawking weak. It hit us as a tropical storm, and the winds only went up to like 70km/h and we only got 22mm of rain, we've had thunderstorms that were stronger than that.
