| For all the whinners!!!!
Any time a company decides to push the envelope on whatever industry they are part of, these things happen. For those who think that testing was not done, I pretty sure it was done, however it is very possible the gears were machined instead of cast, because everything was "prototype". So what Axial just did, was push the envelope and brought the crawling scene to another level, this is not going to happen without casualties. So fix it - and if it breaks - fix it again. BTW my gears broke too, and I'll fix my $#!@ and get it running. Peace out!!! |

i'm in the middle on this one. maybe they shoulda did more product testing before they released it? i don't know about you guys but if i spend a good chunk of my hard earned money on a product i at least want it to last a couple months before it broke. maybe that's just me. |

I think more people are complaining about people complaining than people actually complaining about the product.

a month with a crawler w/o breaking anything is a tall feat for me. breaking happens. if you by the first tun of a new product, and cant deal with minor issues, this may not be the hobby for you. $1500, and it broke id be pissed. but $300? gheyish if it breaks, but im okay w/ fixing it, because I have plenty of money left over to do so. and, not everyone is having the problem. a very small proportion actually. toyota didnt recal their shit because 1 in 10 couldnt stop..... i think someone died first. both VP and Axial are all over this as well.

What fun would this hobby be without broken parts! That's half the fun in my opinion! Break it, fix it, modify it! My bet is most of the people complaining are probably people that never had to "build" their rigs from multiple other rigs not designed for crawling! |

I've been running my XR-10 on my basement table, but will be taking it out on Friday for some real running. If it breaks, I'll fix it. If it breaks again, I'll fix it again. I'll keep fixing it until either Axial or the aftermarket pulls out the final fix.....it will happen by the way, and we all know that.
