| Is RC Rock Crawling Dangerous?
I was on my way home the other night when I noticed a retaining wall that had collapsed near the road I was driving on. I couldn't help but admire the resulting rock pile and thought that be a nice crawling spot. I was imagining.......I looked up and saw a Jetta at a dead stop in front of me. I stood on the break and stopped within of inches of the Jetta. When driving your 1:1 don't think about your 1:10! :-) Last edited by ARC MotorSports; 09-30-2010 at 10:29 AM. |

If I see a spot that looks good, I'll flip a u-turn and go back, park and get out. Take pictures and notes as to what's there plus it's location. Once I get home, I'll review. ORCRC has been collecting crawling locations since we started.... http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?f=q&h...,10.283203&z=7 There are many spots that are not on the map too. |

Love that google maps setup.. immediately set about making one for my area lol.. Thanks for showing me that little doo-dad! /hijack It's not dangerous, just addicting.. I constantly drive for work, and constantly look for new spots.. I can quickly tag them with my GPS and if I have time, photo or crawl them! ~Kev | |

I'd say the most dangerous thing is slipping and falling on the rocks. Gotta wear good shoes and watch your step!
