Very cool! The neighbor of my childhood home built his log cabin by hand.....I was impressed.

Thanks guys. It's not too bad of work. I'll cut the door out when I get on up. I plan to have a pretty nice size front porch over the rock. I'll cut the door out with the cross cut most likely. I love using all the old hand tools. And most of them have come from ancestors. I've cut all the logs with an axe and some I sized up with the cross cut. Most of the work I've done, Dad has helped me with the foundation and getting the logs up onto it. |

Thats freaking cool. Have a Place in the woods to relax. No tv, turn off the cell phone and relax. That would be real nice right about now!

As far as an ETA, I hope to be done about, mid summer this coming year. I think it will very relaxing, it's not too far from the house. Good for hunting as well. I also love Ray Lamontagne. I thought it was a very fitting song. Thanks guys! |
