| Looking for a welding unit???
I am looking for a new welding machine that has a tig and plasma all in one...does anyone know where to get one hopefully brand new and not used for a reasonable price around say $1500 at the most is what i can spend at the time...it will be a gift for my brother |

damn, must be one hell of a brother! check out the lincon units, those are what we use in class (stick and mig machines though) and they are easier to use (than a miller), adjust, and have some nice add on features as well.

For all my work at home i use the HOBART series of welders/plasmas. They are great price for what you get are reliable. I would look into those.

I REALLY doubt you will find a welder and plasma all in the same machine. For $1500, you will have to find something used. |

TIG and plasma all in one, don't think you will find it and I don't know why you would want it together in one unit. The $1500 you have will arely get you the cheapest TIG runner kit from Miller or Lincoln. The have a Syncrowave 200 and the runner was $2k. You get what you pay for. |
