| AE 1/18th truck
Ive had my eye on a mini-t for a while, but now that AE is conning out with this. http://www.rc10.com/shusting/Catalog...18t/kit18t.htm Im getting one of these instead. It could make for a coll mini crawler too. I wish they would make a 1/10th 4wd truck like the HPI m/t.

that is a pretty cool truck but i wonder if the plastic cvd's and handle any crawling and it has a 280 motor. the duratrax mini quake gets my vote 100% ready to run rechargeable battery pack and even the transmitter batteries. aluminum driveshafts 380 motor, standard servo and for 179.95 it a really good deal. these are a blast to drive i got to try one at the lhs last week and it will almost run with my full mod mini-t. associated has a great record and lots of aftermarket support if anything like there other products it will be a great truck.

they use plastic cvd's on their on road cars and they hold up really well.....but those cars ain't jumpin! We'll see. AE has a good rep of building tough parts!

yeah the TC3 and 4? have composit cvds. And they tent to hold up better then the aluminum ones in crashes. The aluminum ones tend to bend and get out of shape. They also use composit for the cvds in the rally kit. If the kit does well, Im sure they will make a Factory Team edition, plus the after market will have a field day with the truck anyway. |

I don't know about making it into a cool mini cralwer, I think the TLT is much better suited for that. But I have had a Mini-T for a while now and the thing is a blast. Then when you upgrade all the electronics in it and put a better motor, holly crap is it fun. I think about 6 of my friends has them which make it even more fun. I used to take it to the track and when I let my T4 cool down I would play with the Mini-T. Very fun. |

I've had my RC18T for four days now and it kicks ass!! Out of the box it is faster than most hopped up micros. I put a 370 motor and seven cells and it goes nearly 30mph. The diffs don't lock up tight enough to rockcrawl without the ol' JB and the smallest pinion you can fit due to the stock chassis is a 15t (good for about 20mph). This still didn't stop me from mounting stock TLT wheels and go for a drive, which sucked. Bottom line: great handling fast micro truck that will outdrive a mini-t anyday, but would need alot of work to make a crawler (maybe E-maxx-esque crawler?)

Well, I saw it, and I'm hooked! This is the best 1/18 truck out there, and is capable of amazing speeds with a 370!
