Default Project Boosted Brown

Here is my latest addition to add to my Toyota fleet A Shit BROWN, RUST FREE 1986 Pick-Up with a 22RE-T, Thats right TURBO 5 speed with the 23 spline transfer case. 137K on the clock, No A/C, No Clock. Truck runs MINT, doesnt really need anything. No BS mods, the cat was removed and a 40 series flow master was also put it in, and it sounds AWESOME for a 4 cylinder. 1st on the list is to get rid of the plastic bed liner and have it coated. Next, the cow catcher has to go I am also ditching the 33s for a nice narrow set of 31" BFGs (when $ permits) because the 33s are chipping up the paint. I am going to pull the back bumper and respray it and i also have an old school grizzly single bar single back roll bar that I may put in it.

Enough babble, onto the pics

NO RUST in the bed

Real clean interior

Turbo light goes on when its boosting

Paint on it is awesome aside from a couple of rock chips

Nice and clean underneath too

Engine compartment is clean

I am super stoked about this rig, Its in awesome condition for an east coast truck. I dont have any major plans for it other then working with whats already there. No SAS on this one, its just gonna be a fun cruiser

Thanks for looking
-Mike

My nieghbor has the same year and turbo model sitting in his yard... but it's white. No front suspension under it and it's been like that for 4 years... won't sell it either.

Actually, its from somewhere in your state, it was supposedly garage kept. I have an extra car port for it that my stepfather and I are going to set up.

Nope. No turbo models in 1985... '86/'87 only years for trucks/4Runners.

The SR5 in the movie was an 86. It was brand new for 85 when they filmed the movie

Just out of curiosity it looks like the one in the movie has a solid front end. I thought 85 was the last year for that?
