| TXT on Backorder
AARGG! Ive had a TXT on Backorder from Tower since early February. I keep waiting but the anticipation is getting old. Does anyone know why it is taking them so long to get them in stock? |

Is it me or does Tower ALWAYS seem to have anything worth having on backorder? Just for giggles I checked www.ultimatehobbies.com and they seem to have 'em in stock... Last edited by K_B; 03-23-2006 at 06:10 PM. |

Tower keeps stuff listed and "on order" even when they have no plans of getting the item until one is bought. That way they can set the price, and compete with smaller retailers without actually carrying the item. They are not the only online store to do that.

Looks like I may need to give UltimateHobbies a call! I think i would have ended up getting it through Tower for like $325 with a coupon but hell - its worth the $30 not to have to wait a century!! The really aggravating thing is that ive never ordered from Tower before and signed up for the membership trying to save on shipping. Even if i can cancel the order I guess thats money down the tubes . But - Im sure that i will eventually order stuff from them anyways. Thanks for the help - I guess im gonna cancel and get the TXT elsewhere. |

redrover, I feel your pain. I've had a Novak Brushless motor on backorder since Feb 15. The Stock Status has changed from Late March to Early April about 5 times! It upsets me that they keep changing this. We can put a man on the moon and do heart transplants, but I'll be damned if a company can produce enough of their product to meet needs!

Well I went ahead and cancelled the backorder from Tower. I ordered from them way back on Feb 10 and they kept pushing it back over and over just like DLE88 said they did to him. I dont have anything against Tower - I would just like to get the truck while im still young enough to enjoy it. Im sure ill order from them again - just maybe not backorder. Anyways I ordered from Racin' Havoc Hobbies (www.racinhavochobbies.com) I found him on Ebay - he says his web business is just getting started and he hasnt done alot of ebay/web sales, but seems like a nice guy. I cant reccomend him just yet, but when I receive the TXT I will post again and let you know how the transaction went. |

Well When I finally got my order from Racin' Havoc Hobbies (www.racinhavochobbies.com) it was the wrong truck. He sent me a TNX instead of a TXT-1. Also he mailed it USPS Parcel Post which took a Really Looong time to get, and no tracking or help from the Post Office whatsoever. but anyways, no hard feelings, im still bummed that I cant find a TXT anywhere. He said he checked and he cant get one at all right now? Ultimate Hobbies cant get em? Towers cant em? Does anyone know where I can get a new TXT-1 still in the box?????????????????? I feel like im on a search for Bigfoot or something here, Ive been looking since early Feb. I cannot find any place that still has these. |
