Take you planned budget, triple it and then after it's all put together, add another single budget to it because after it's built there is still some tweaking you want to do. Hope this helps |

lol. i think i wanna start with something like the crawler king. it looks fun. i want it to be water proof 4x4 so i can mud play and still crawl a little and i want to be able to build it cherokee style. so if anyone would like to donate there two cents. also waitng to see some crawlers this sunday at south mtn. i hope i can find the right spot! |

Build a JK No seriously though , Do you want to comp.,Trail ride/film , mud bog, bash ? If you paln on building a scaler dont buy MOA axles , I suggest starting off with an AX10 you can get them compable and if you dont like doing the comp thing build a scaler with it.

i just wanna start with something i can mud play and crawl a little for fun. as long as it looks like a jeep. the crawler i found rtr in mud for a couple hundred. ill check this ax10. but i also like that 2 and 3 speed stlye.

You can get the Scx-10 honcho kit and you said you like the 2-3 speed you can get a Summit tranny and put it in you honcho. I've seen people do it here on RCC. The Honcho would be a great starter truck

Yep, the honcho would be a great choice. You could pick it up and buy a cherokee body for it. Sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
