Default Can you hear this - hearing test

I posted this up in the headphone thread, but I'm sure not too many people look at that one, but thought you might be interested in this test.

http://www.noiseaddicts.com/2009/03/...-hearing-test/

Using my iMac I can't hear 15. Using my Sennheiser headphones I can hear 17 VERY faintly. And 15 and 16 no problem.

I'm 35 and work in a loud environment. When I first didn't hear 15, I became sad. I grew up with loud car stereos as a teenager, then got into home audio before I was 20. Probably listening to the stereo and headphones too loudly, and the loud work environment... getting old stinks.

I can hear up to 18, but I think my computer speakers may be limiting anything above that. I will need to try again with my nicer headphones.

Last daily driver was a clean 3k rms to an 18" Solo X and I'm hearing 18 on my iPhone.

I honestly think my hearing got more sensitive from bass. I can hear a tube tv on before I even ring a door bell. I lost more hearing when there's normal talking going on.

8-14 is fine, 15 is faint, can't hear 16 at all, and 17-22 is faint.

I get that, but I've always called it a rattling sound. It happens when I try to talk over loud volumes.

It's not that bad.. Little vacuums and a chick nicknamed Seagull are my main triggers.
