Default Drug home some more boating history

I found a guy giving away 2 hydrocycle Baracudas... Basically they are the great grandfather to the jetski. Instead of a jet, they are driven by an outboard! Should be a pretty eaasy restoration once I get the drag boat done. The guy was saying how bad of shape they were in, up until 2 yrs ago they were stored inside. They are solid and really the paint isnt even bad.

Anita must just be thrilled with you right now, even if they were free

What size outboard did those use, and how big of one can you stuff on one?

the purple one is the only 1 thats had a motor in the last 25yrs and it was a 25hp. I found a brochure for them and it said 35hp but, I found a guy online running a tuned up 50hp mercury race motor.

My friend got some good scars on his leg from one of those, he had 2 and we use to ride them when I was a kid. They were fun. It don't seem like it had a very big motor. I keep thinking it was a 25 HP.

After Aftyer Anita told me about her reaction to the pulling tractors at I-Hobby, I'm willing to bet she'll be wanting to drive the hell outta those things once she's old enough

I had to stick the seat on 1 of them so Abby could "drive". She was having a heck of a good time. Anything with a steering wheel or handle bar is fair game for her.
