Default Sit on top kayak?

I'm looking to get a sit on top kayak to fish out of... Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Liquid Logic Versa-Board

I have a Liquid Logic Remix XP-10 kayak, they're a good company to deal with, high quality plastics as well.

Ive got an oldtown kayak, not a sit on top but I find it to be allot more stable and have better storage for fishing.

Go to your local dealer and ask if they do rentals. Most will rent you a kayak for a day (my local store put the rental fee towards the actual purchase of the kayak I bought). That is what I did prior to purchasing my kayak. I tried a sit on top and it didn't feel comfortable to me, so I bought a sit in Kayak. Better to try one out than be stuck with something you don't like.

Check out Emotion kayaks:

The bike shop I work for also deals with Emotion and they make fairly decent boats for the cost. I've paddled around in the Stealth, Glide, and Mojo models and they're not bad at all. Fairly inexpensive, as well.

I have an oldtown sit in kayak that I originally bought for duck hunting out of and I love it. I take it down the local river, fishing and wave riding at the beach. The only draw back is that when I go to the beach on a rough day with 3 or 4 foot waves i take on alot of water before I can get out of the breaking waves, in my buddies sit on kayak i can take 5 or 6 foot waves all day long.

i reccommend a Sit-in style ALOT more stable especially for the "big" fish that can fight ya, and drag you wherever they see fit
