| RC charities?
I recently went through a move and downsized in space a bit. I have this little problem where everything RC looks way to awesome to me, then I black out, and then a few days later another kit shows up at my door. I pre ordered a Wraith last night and I have nowhere to put it Can anyone lead me to a charity where I can donate my extra parts and vehicles where I know they will be used and enjoyed? For shits sake I have a rubbermaid full of just tires! and radios from RTRs that I will never use!! I lack motivation to sell it and I would never throw it away. I remember seeing someone post about taking donations to help get kids into RC. Is that still going on? |

That is Krakker. He does an kids program for kids with disabilities. Pm him. He organizes and runs a big event for them every year. Also Knife (I think is his name) started a disabled crawler thing that he does too. Might be a good one as well. Other than that surf around and look for deserving people. I hope this helps. You are gonna get alot of give it to me answers, but I wanted to get you a real answer first. Of course feel free to send anything you want my way Jay. |

Thanks for the info Gabe. I wouldn't mind giving it away to people, but I'm not gonna pay to ship 20 different packages and I'm not gonna give everything to one person who won't use most of it.

There are a few on here that do fundraising raffles. Rock Candy RC and Weck are the two that come to mind I am sure there are others. Perhaps they could use some of your unneeded gear.

We are still doing the Active Kids program and are getting started on this years 4xFEST in August. IF there's nothing that we can use, there is a local youth center in town that is run by the Mad Dads, NE. chapter. I can always ask the rev. if he want's something for indoor/outdoor activities. (they've only got pool, foozball and nintendo64 not) I've been volunteering there for the past 3mo. helping them with marketing, fund raising and computer help. They are giving away a couple bikes at this years event and I believe that Hobbytown, is giving away another Axial rtr. Depending on the condition, we can make a rtr for a youth in the right age group for something you might have. If you're serious, send me a pm. Last edited by Krakker; 04-15-2011 at 08:17 AM.
