Somehow twisting lithium batteries seems like a bad idea.

This is a really cool concept. Is anyone else picturing an ultra high torque electric Pinzgauer 6x6? Sending solid axle rigs back to the garage..

Traxxas Revo shocks set up
Traxxas Jato upper and lower a arms.
Traxxas Short Course IFS and IRS
And a Pimp cane (Only with an uluminum tube filled with Lipo batteries.)

I doubt that those batteries supprt any of the chassis, I'd say they are on for the ride. The people who made it ,call it a torque tube.

I think the tube can twist and the batteries not. Again I'm just going by what the people who made it, call the tube.

*Wasn't quite sure if you were joking or not at first. Generally a real "torque tube" is one that actively resists twisting and bending along its whole length, not the integrated chassis/suspension used in RC. The only moving suspension parts on this rig will be the A-arms at each wheel.

Steyr Puch used the idea quite well with the Haflinger and Pinzgauer. Both trucks look very goofy with the tall bodies, but most of the weight is centered 3/4 of the way up the tires. Off-camber and hill climbing ability rivals that of comp trucks with flat lower links.
