i know this isnt really the section, but its not a crawler and i dont want to sign up on a new forum lol


so did i run my truck to hard? it doesnt go very good any more









































































yes the spur melted, not striped

edit : thanks every one for the info that they posted, it good to know, but this isnt ment to be a serious post, just somthing to make you smile :p

no, i didnt know that :p up untill 2 days ago when i wanted to know what servos are cool now, i havnt loged onto here for over a year

You probly had the gear mesh too tight. Or the motor was getting so hot that it heated up the pinion, although if you did that , you probly demagnetized the motor. Either way props on the gew

You need a new motor mount with a larger bearing in it, such as one as made by King Headz.

Due to an engineering oversight the bearing in the mount is too small and very problematic and susceptible to dirt and grime, it probably locked up and took out the spur and mount with it. Very common, and probably the only needed upgrade besides the new driveshaft cover which now covers the shaft near the slipper nut area.

thankls for the info, the bearing seems to be fine, not sticky or hard spots or any thing. the sput gear itself just phisically melted, alumimum on plastic at WOT has alot of friction. the fact that i had an area i could run my truck WOT for as long as i wanted is the cause of my problem haha, i just thought it was funny that the gear melted no striped
