5000#.....damn that is either a lotta tube or a lot of non trail needed crap in there. I know a guy with a 5400# YJ, but that YJ carries a whole shop's worth of tools and one of the best sound systems around

That Toy would need the Marlin Box set up to get around with a 4 banger. Good thing its a 4 banger too, cause at 5000# with the nice low range offered by a Marlin you would break even a D60 front end if you had a real motor in that thing

When are you guys headed up next Griz? I may want to take a shotgun seat first, and then try my luck with my POS. If I still had that Scout it would be awwn!! But gotta take care of this one a little better :P

P.S. I have seen Griz's Bronco on 40s! She will be very PIMP once he finishes her up!!

Thanks BC, I hope so.
The club goes up on the third Sat of every month.
I have saved the money for our down payment on the house so I got the green light to buy the rest of the parts I need. I have a crawler to finish in the next couple weeks and then I am going to try and get the Bronc running by Feb-March. Paint will probly take the longest. The C6, T-case, exhaust, driveshafts, and temporary 351W, should go pretty quick (I hope). You can hitch a ride when it is done.

That's funny Ty......we were all just discussing your brothers truck the other day when crawling at Jason's house. There were many mixed reviews of your bros truck......and I won't mention some of the comments I heard!

I've seen that in a 4WD mag before...remember the "Wild Oats" on the hood.

Was tamer then, didn't sport 40" TSLs.

If I remember right "Wild Oats" s owned by Rod Pepper. It is cool how that rig has "grown up"!! Best part is, most of the changes are documented in all the big magazines. I think that Jeep was part of a build up series of articles in 4WD and Sport Utlity Magazine.

I am sure Griz will chime in at some point in time.

Ty, what do you mean by..."sais"???? Is that supposed to mean said? Gotta learn to spell. We know you think you are a player and all, but dude...you can't get the ladies if you can not spell or use the English language correctly

Yup, "Wild Oats" belongs to Rod Pepper. It was not a magazine buildup but it has been featured so many times it might seem like it.

True True. That and hasn't he had a few articles done up about the Jeep, when he did a few of the bigger mods to it? I remember seeing one with it in there about going Fuel Injection on an AMC 360, I think....

I can not be for sure, since I am missing a bunch of my magazines since they are back in Knoxville. Either way, it is way cool to be ina magazine once, much less as many times as he has been!

The last feature on it did go through the custom 4 link front end and the RockWorx 4 link rear end, and talked about the new motor.
For years it had a Chrysler 340 in it w/Howell F/I. The new motor is a 418ci stroker based on a Chrysler 360 Magnum, Nascar rods, ported heads, and the same injection. It's about a 450hp motor and it RIPS.
