Not to sound like an ass but why don't you call your insurance agent? Insurance rates vary so much I don't think anyone could give you a decent answer. Or why not ask the owner these questions?

Go look at it. For three grand it's probably a rustbucket, and NOTHING rusts like a Scout does.

Your insurance will depend on your driving record, your age, the car being insured, if its for daily driving or just for fun, miles you will put on it in a year, etc.... Like he said above call your insurance company.

As far as what it will cost to fill the tank..... Depends on how big the tank is and what grade gas you put in it. More details would help.....

Probably more than you can afford on all accounts.

Aren't you 13 years old? I have seen a diamond rig go for 3000.00 and a I have seen over priced hunks of junk for 3000.00. So it is a salad toss, get pictures of the truck and a list of work I will tell you if it is crap. My guess on the insurance is 25.00 to 45.00 a month. When it comes to gas I feed my Jimmy 34 gallons of super every week when I drive it a lot and it has a never GM EFI motor.

If you are worried about the costs associated with it, don't buy it. You need something you can jump in and drive, and find parts for easily and on the cheap.
