The bed is a bed off the stock clod body, it's been chopped up alot so the bed has more capacity. Under the bed is a frame made up of square aluminum tube. Off the frame I used two graphite sheets with flang bushings inserted which the axle runs through. There are tube supports between the graphite sheets to make it sturdy. Then I used some aluminum wheel adapters I had from an old bolink car and mounted up the clod tires and wheels. It's a solid axle mounted with no suspension. The only suspension is in the tires flex. It works really well. I do have to say even with 4ws it's still a PITA to back the trailer up.

I'm thinking about making another one only alot bigger, to haul my t-maxx around.

It could but it's likely to tip over given the rocks I crawl on. Then i'd just end up dragging it around.

It's the bed of a clodbuster, that's how big it is, I suppose I could lengthen it but, I'm building a bigger one anyway.

As for crawling it I've tried it out, the COG is pretty low with a load in the bed, the only problem is weird angles getting the hitch in a bind. But it's cool, it was mainly just something to tinker with.

make the hitch have a rod end, and your trailer, so it makes it more flexable, I think that would work aye?

Duh! That's what i'm using. I used a Ball connector and a rod end, I've also used a ball cup for a more realistic look. You still can bind it up crawling.

Maybe you could try a military style hitch (AKA Pintle hitch)?

Or, you could try have a ball end on your trailer, and one on your truck for twice as much travel.
