There's been two or three discussions on this very thing this year in this section. Since you don't or won't use the search button, I'll give you the short version. Everyone came to the agreement that its best to wrap it in tinfoil (so that the xray's won't mess with your electronics), duct tape an old pager to it (if you can't find it at your destination, you can call the pager and listen for the beep beep beep), put it in a cardboard box, and check it with your regular luggage. Should be easy peasy. |

I'm sitting here in Hawaii on vacation with my scaler right now, had no issues using the methods above. |

I've flown with mine quite a few times....once out of the country and I have never had an issue. Tools in the checked bag (they will probably search it, BTW). Everything else carry on (again, they will probably search it). I am always nice and willing to wait for them to search whatever they please. |

Also, try to make sure that there are a few loose wires hanging out of the package, this will insure that the XRAY's damage those wires instead of your electronics. Cheers

Personally I prefer to duct tape it to my chest with the batteries tucked under my belt. Usually it doesnt draw much attenion, especially if you hide it under a really big oversized trench coat. And I usually carry the remote in my hand while holding my arms up walking thru the xray machine.. Once the initial shock of everyone running like madmen wears off it really doesnt get noticed. I always tell them if the plane goes down I prefer to have my most precious possesions with me.. They understand and let me go right thru. |
