Wow, how much did that set you back if you don't mind me askin? I'm still working under a Fibremetal 190, no auto dark, not even a flip up lense, but I learned with one, and my dad had this one sitting in a box, probably 20 years, likes his old hard hat mounted setup, which I can't stand.

hehe. she set me back about 5 years of pointless dating !!!!! thank you very much. i try to be innovative and usually i end up changing stuff half way through haha. i use a miller 135, and a old lincoln idealarc 250 tig. the helmet is a speedglas 9002V it set me back 355 at my lws (local welding shop) alot of welding shops will give you a discount if your a student. so dont forget to ask! and if they ask where, say the school of life. |

holy **** is auto darkening nice. word to the wise, just because the helmet goes back to ambient light right away DOES NOT MEAN THE METAL IS COOL ENOUGH TO TOUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive been fabricating for 5 years and i havent ever done anything as stupid as to grab something 1 minute after welding it... ugh. i have a 1 inch long cauterized strip about 3/16ths of an inch wide on my thumb!!!!!!!!!!!! god i hate being stupid sometimes but the whole process probably took 1/3 of the time |

Is it possiable to give us a pic of a arc through the lens? I've always wanted one of those but many say the delay is not fast enough. What do you think so far?

i can sure try lol. let me see what i can do. this model is very adjustable, which is why its the 9002V flexview the 9002x has a much larger screen but isnt as adjustable. brb

well i tried a bunch of different techniques but i really need a second person. ill try and get the woman to take a picture through the helmet while im setting it up. the background light kills the picture... i tried video too no luck. iiiiiiiiiiiiii love this helmet. totally takes the amount of time down when you want to be quick |
