| Rock racing the future of rc crawling?
Is rock racing the natural evolution of rc crawling? With the popularity of the wraith and the progression of 1:1 into rock racing is it just a matter of time for the entire rc industry to do the same?

It must have been a longer day than I thought, could have sworn I read "natural selection" and not "natural evolution" in the original post |

N00B bashing N00B... priceless. Now to the original question. I think its more of an offshoot than an evolution. Rock racing is about speed, rock crawling is about precision.

Short answer: No. Long answer: It'll probably become another class or kinda like a seperate sport. There'll probably be rc crawling and rc rock racing. I know what I want to say, it's kinda hard for me to say it in words. Like how rc drifting grew from touring car chassis into full on drift kits. If someone knows what I'm saying and can say it better, please do. |

| Re: Rock racing the future of rc crawling? Funny how that came about. Had to be around early 2006. It's gotten too popular, so now we have to run time limits in order to fit everyone through all the gates on all the course by sun down. Thus the birth of going faster than crawling. Bergs really helped with being able to do that with a machine that could move boulders out of the way if needed, to make it through gate ten in five minutes.

The key to rock racing is youth. Most older fellows have got most all the bashing out of them. Rock racing is basically just another form of slash/1/8 scale/ bashing racing whatever. If I want to to rock race I will jump on my yz Don't think it will catch.

"Most older fellows have got most all the bashing out of them." Funny you say that... I'm now an "older fellow"........gee that sucks to say.... I do hate scratching my stuff!!!! You know one thing about being an "older fellow", you sorta feel strange following a little car around tho, people look at you funny. Do you see I give a shit in my eyes??? nah, I don't..... |
