Default Who remembers Stompers?

My folks gave me a tub of old toys and check out what I found! I used to love playing with these in the schoolyard. The yellow one even has Hi and Lo speed gearing!

I loved all the old Stompers. Remember the semi trucks and the water ones with the big paddle tires?
They're all over ebay... I've bid on a few multi truck lots but haven't won. I really want the AMC Eagle SX/4!

I found two New Bright Stompers the other day while going through some stuff, my dogs loved em. They aren't with us anymore.

That's funny, my 6 year old son and I were playing with mine earlier today!
I have the case that looks like a stomper tire full of them still...

I bought a Jeep at a tag sale for about $2. My son has a bunch of Defiants which are the modern version by a different company

Remember the Matchbox or hot wheels car crusher, where you made aluminum foil cars and could crush them? I wanted one soooo bad, and never got one......So I resorted to smashing all my hot wheels, and stompers, and what ever else with a vise or a hammer. It was fun at the time, but man.....do I wish I had some of that stuff now.

IIRC the only stompers I could play with were chevy blazers or pick ups.....dads rules.. I also had a Bigfoot.....any one remember those? I think there was a King-kong also, It was like a huge stomper.

I have the FORD Ranger Stomper that runs on 4 C batteries. Has the winch and driver. I also have a couple of the water demons (with Hot Wheels Monster truck tires on them) The FORD and the Dodge. I loved my stompers when I was a kid.

Now that is blast from the past. Most of mine were burried in the sand box, and are probly still there.

In college we used to build little trucks, or modify stopmers, and do a stomper bog in the middle of the winter. We used cake batter for the mud..
Remember these?

These were probably my gateway drug into RC. I went to my parents friends house and he had a "track" it was actually 2 2x4s propped up on a chair, but he had put all kinds of things like nails and sticks and such in the track to make it hard for the stomper to climb. This thread drug that memory from deep out of my past.....wow.
