Default Jeep Rubicon paint correction deatail

enjoy

process took around 17 hours total.

started with a wash

took the fenders, tires, mirrors, gas door thing, other misc stuff off.

some spray polish and wax remover
clay
meguiars d3000 compound
menzerna sf4000 polish
spray polish remover
blackfire sealant
put all the stuff i took off, back on
chemical guys paste wax

some before pictures after the clay process

not sure what happened to this door, felt like overspray

after hitting a section a few times with the d3000

this is only after compounding, before polishing

quick comparison, (wasnt done with the door)

onto the after shots

its not mine, its more of a garage queen, the bumpers and axles are all scraped and dinged from crawling so nope!

also notice the 'fog' lights are two completely different lights. the stock one got ripped off on the trails so im pretty sure he isnt afraid of getting it scratched.

thats also the point of the detail, because of scratches.

Nice job.I do car detailing on the side occasionally also.Did you use an orbital buffer or was this a hand job?I use meguiars products as well, good stuff.I really like their tech wax, lasts a long time.

Did Stevie Wonder paint that? MirrorGlaze is good stuff to use after a wash and dry. Black has always been the most difficult "color" to maintain.
