Default Associated T2 to Basher???

I may be able to pick up a rc10t2 for a good deal. Just planning on turning this into a general basher. Do you have a suggestions on what to do and what not to do?
I was thinking RPM A-arms front and rear, titainium turnbuckles for the suspension. Some CVD's at some point.
Motor wise brushless of some sort. Don't need to go ultra fast but would like to atleast be into the 30mph+ range and have brisk acceleration.
I guess runtime is a consideration too as well as low matinence.
I have heard some say the novak 5800 setup is good for a gen purpose basher. johnrobholmes is also selling a set up with a Feigao 380C 6-L motor and Quark 80 Speed control.
Any other thoughts on motors?
Any other upgrades I should look at? IS this even a projet worth considering?
Thanks

CVDs for sure, I had some extra t-3 cvds and I got them to work. I had a really badass T2... Im still not sure why I sold :-( It was a very cool truck. As old and heavy and dated as it was, it kept up with the guys on the track. It had TI turn buckles and I think it was the Team...whatever one is the high end one so It had the nice oil filled shocks and upgraded shock towers and shiat.

Ill try to find a pic.

Post up one of yours when to finish it

Mike

T2s are great. i love mine and it still hangs with the new guys.
get the rpm arms, TI buckles, cvds. bearings, rpm wide bumper. thats about it.

brushless I'd say the new mamba max, I'm getting one of these and its going to make this thing FLY. for around 200-250, its a great little system.
or a feigao 380c 9t or 8t. lots of people run these. cheap and has good acceleration and speed. great for bashing

Yeah, I have an SS5800, don't like the limitations of the sensored setup. Go with the combo from holmes, or what I'm doing and getting a Mamba Max 5700.
