Default Floating Rc rock crawler

has anybudy thought of or done this? i thought it would be a great idea for my new blazer i'm building for when the muck and water just gets to deep? do you think big lug tires like my redrocks would work to keep it movin while its floating.

mabey put styrofoam or rc nitro tanks in the chassis?

i just thought i'd throw that out there

Kongs on beadlocks will float most maxx type trucks. It's just unfortunate that they blow the sense of scale all to hell.

Almost any tire will float a reasonably lightweight rig. Provided 2 things. One you don't put any weight in the tires bbs, lead stick-ons etc. And two, the tires themselves are very well glued to the rims so that they do not fill up with water and cause your truck to sink.

Masker 2Ks float my 6 pound TLT quite well.

In my opinion, floating over the mud just takes the fun out of it, I'd rather be down in it

My old rig(11 LBS. ) would float easily with my Kongs on. After I retreaded with LST treads I couldn't quite get them sealed 100%,so they'd slowly fill with water. I don't run my Kongs much anymore, but then again I try to stay away from the water as much as possible. I just don't like taking the risk of frying my stuff. I know things can be waterproofed and can be made to take on water,I'd just rather not. The thought of burnning up nearly $500 in electronics over a few seconds of fun just seems crazy to me.
