Did you have the package insured, because then you can atleast get your money back, or some of it.

yeah, it was insured for 750 which i got back... but someone still got a 1400 dollar crawler for free. Geislerj3 was a total stand-up guy through the whole thing. thank god he was so cool about it. you think whomever recieved it would do the right thing. the ups drivers kid is probably playing with it as i type.

What I don't understand is why people use USPS to ship such a valued item. There is a reason why there shipping costs are so much cheaper then UPS or Fed-EX.

he used ups. but i am having a time with ups right now myself. luckily the manager at the ups store is really fighting for me.

i got scammed and sent a guy my truck. figured out scam before it got there and followed procedure to have the truck returned to sender. the package was marked and everything (as far as i know) then they let the dumbass come and pick it up. working on getting something right now. i know it wont be my truck.

since mine was insured they were pretty straight foward about paying up. the only thing that was a little frightening was they only deal/communicate with the shipper. so if anything happens you have to rely on the sender sending you the money. luckily for me geislerj3 was an honest person.

it should have been marked as high value, so the driver would need a signature to deliver it. if it didnt need a signature then the package would have been DR'd (driver released) which is how the majority of the packages get delivered. if it was DR'd then it may have been stolen off your doorstep. i would file a claim with ups and go from there.
